Why Thea Limited?
“Thea” (θεα) is the third word of Homer’s epic poem the “Iliad”. “Thea” means “goddess” – in this instance, probably the Muse of epic poetry, Calliope, whose name means “beautiful-voiced”. Like the wisest and the most assertive of the nine Muses, we aim to give our clients a beautiful voice, and empower them to set out clearly and compellingly the deal they want.
Thea (the A) is also the beginning. In the new courtroom at the Supreme Court in London, the last letter of the Greek alphabet, omega (Ω), is displayed to symbolise finality. We know that our clients generally want the deal to be done sooner rather than later, without lengthy and costly legal process, and that is what we aim to deliver.
Thea Limited is for clients who wish to keep control of their own affairs. We work with people whose preference is to do a deal on terms which they negotiate with our help. We take cases through the legal process where there is a dispute and the other parties have unrealistic expectations, but always remain vigilant for opportunities to negotiate a settlement.
